Working in Partnership
The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre works in partnership with a number of NHS and non-NHS organisations to deliver our services across Merseyside and Cheshire ensuring our patients receive the best services as close to where they live as possible.
We have several chemotherapy clinics located in hospitals throughout Cheshire and Merseyside as well as at our Clatterbridge Cancer Centre - Wirral.
- The Linda McCartney Centre (The Royal Liverpool University Hospital)
- The Countess of Chester
- Southport Hospital
- Halton General Hospital
- The Marina Dalglish Centre (Aintree University Hospital)
- The Liverpool Women's
All of these clinics are staffed by specialist nurses and doctors from The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre.
We work in collaboration with Macmillan Cancer Support to provide cancer information to our patients, and offer clinical services through our Macmillan nurses, doctors and other healthcare staff.
The Trust also works in co-operation with the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation to provide nursing services for lung cancer patients.
The Trust has a number of academic partners, both for educational purposes and for research and development. The Mersey Deanery of Liverpool University provides training placements for junior doctors, and the School of Radiography is linked to the Trust to provide training for therapy radiographers.
The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre also has a Clinical Education Department which offers a number of professional development and education courses for nurses and allied health professionals including validated modules, study days and short courses. Validated modules are offered in association with the University of Chester and Liverpool University.
A number of clinicians hold honorary posts with Liverpool University. Research partners primarily include Northwest Cancer Research and the University of Liverpool, as well as other academic and NHS institutions both in the UK and beyond.
